Magnitude 5.3 quake hits off Surigao

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake hit off Surigao Del Norte province in Mindanao on Thursday.

In its earthquake, PHIVOLCS located the epicenter of the tremor at 024 km N 29° E of Burgos town. It had a depth of 26 kilometers.

Intensity III was reported in Surigao City and Rosario, Agusan del Sur.

PHIVOLCS said aftershocks are expected. —JST, GMA News
