Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 11) — Schools participating in the expansion of limited face-to-face classes may resume sessions in all grade levels, an Education Department official said Friday.

Nung pilot phase natin, ang kasunduan natin with DOH ay limited ito sa first key stage — kindergarten to grade 3 — at tsaka ‘yung senior high school in the Tech-Voc (Technical-Vocational-Livelihood) track. Nepomuceno Malaluan in a Laging Handa briefing.

But here in our progressive expansion, all grade levels may be included.]

Malaluan, however, emphasized it still depends on factors such as the school’s capacity and classroom availability.

Earlier this month, Education Secretary Leonor Briones ordered all regional directors to implement the resumption and expansion of limited face-to-face classes in areas under Alert Level 2.

Malaluan also said about 6,500 schools are ready to resume classes once their respective areas shift to Alert Level 2, adding this will be done on a “rolling basis.”
