“BABALA! Huwag maniwala sa text na diumano’y nag-aalok ng trabaho. Huwag po magbigay ng personal na impormasyon. Ito po ay isang scam.”
(WARNING! Don’t believe the text that supposedly offers jobs. Please do not provide personal information. This is a scam.)
“In the interest of service, you are hereby directed to text blast to your subscribers the following proposed text with the National Telecommunications Commission as sender,” said the NTC in the memorandum.
The NTC then required all telcos to submit a report of compliance by Dec. 14, 2021.
Meanwhile, an official of the NPC earlier said that international syndicates orchestrated the scam.
