Navotas’ e-Konsulta initiative will provide health and medical advice to residents through call, text messages, and Facebook messages.
“[This] provides a convenient way for Navoteños to access medical and health services. This also keeps them from leaving their homes and risking their health by going outside to have their check up in a health center or hospital,” Mayor Toby Tiangco said.
Tiangco explained that the increasing number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the city “compelled” them to be more “resourceful in delivering medical and health services.”
“We strive to utilize all available options to protect our constituents, including our health care providers,” he noted.
Each barangay has its own designated contact numbers and Facebook account, which residents can reach out to from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Information are available on the city’s Navoteño Ako! Facebook page.
On-hand medicines, prescriptions, and laboratory requests will be delivered house-to-house, but depending on the patient’s location and availability of barangay health workers on-duty, according to the public information office.
“If delivery is not feasible, the patient or his/her kin may pick up the said items based on a schedule,” it added.
