Metro Manila — Metro Manila mayors will adopt uniform curfew hours, which will be from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for two weeks beginning March 15 amid a spike in COVID-19 cases in the region.
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chairman Benjamin Abalos Jr. announced this Thursday evening after he met with Metro Manila local chief executives to tackle protocols needed to curb the fast-rising number of infections.
Health department officials and members of the independent group OCTA Research were also present in the meeting to provide a full picture of the current pandemic situation and guide them in the policy revisions, Abalos said.
To date, the capital region has logged 247,935 cases of the viral disease, based on the DOH tracker. This number accounts for around 40% of the nationwide total, which has breached 607,000.
