M6.0 earthquake strikes off Surigao del Sur

MANILA (UPDATED)- A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur late Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said. 

The tectonic earthquake occurred at 10:32 p.m. at depth of 24 kilometers.

The epicenter of the tremor was located 28 kilometers northeast of Cagwait.
