Metro Manila — Philippine Airlines has cancelled some of its domestic flights this weekend due to Tropical Storm Auring — the first cyclone to the enter the Philippine monitoring area this year.

‘Auring’ is seen to make landfall on Sunday morning or afternoon possibly in Caraga region. State weather bureau PAGASA placed 25 areas in the Visayas and Mindanao under Signal No. 1 due to possible strong breeze and intermittent rains and within 36 hours that may cause light damage to structures and significant damage to rice crops.
