Kalayaan Islands still under Signal No. 3 due to Odette

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3 is still raised over the Kalayaan Islands due to Typhoon Odette.
In its 5 a.m. update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the storm will bring heavy to torrential rains over the area on Saturday.
Signal No. 2 is also up in the central portion of Palawan, where residents may experience damaging gale- to storm-force winds within 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Signal No. 1 is hoisted over the rest of mainland Palawan including Calamian Islands, wherein strong winds may be felt within 36 hours.
Odette was last spotted 240 kilometers west northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, packing maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 185 kph.
For Saturday, the storm will also bring moderate to heavy rains over mainland Palawan, Aurora, and the northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands, as well as light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Nueva Ecija, and the rest of Quezon.
Latest government data shows 12 were killed and over 338,000 individuals were evacuated after the typhoon’s wrath.
Odette is seen to move west northwestward and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility Saturday morning or afternoon.
