Filipinos abroad with COVID-19 now at 8,803 with 11 new infections

Eleven more Filipinos abroad tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the total to 8,803, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
The DFA announced that total recoveries rose to 5,265 with 11 new ones while two more fatalities brought the death toll to 594.
As of July 10, there are 2,944 patients still undergoing treatment.
Data from the DFA showed a total of 678 cases in the Asia Pacific Region. Of the number, 119 are patients still undergoing treatment, 555 have recovered, and four have died.
In the Middle East or Africa, there are a total of 6,379 cases with 2,221 patients undergoing treatment. There are 3,832 recoveries and 326 fatalities in the region.
Europe, meanwhile, reported a total of 1,047 COVID-19 cases. Of this, 484 are undergoing treatment, 468 have recovered, and 95 have died.
Meanwhile, the Americas reported a total of 699 cases with 120 patients undergoing treatment. Total recoveries in the region were at 410 while deaths were at 169.
