COVID-19 positive MRT-3 workers reach 198

MANILA – The total number of COVID-19 positive workers at the MRT-3 line reached 198 as of July 6, the Department of Transportation Tuesday.
Out of the total number, 177 are depot personnel, 3 train drivers, 2 control center personnel and 16 station personnel including 8 ticket sellers from North Avenue, 2 from GMA-Kamuning, 3 from Cubao, 1 from Quezon Ave, one reserve status and a nurse, the DOTr said.
“The MRT-3 management traced the stations and working shifts of ticket sellers who were tested positive for COVID-19 to help the riding public determine if they had direct contact with the station personnel,” it said.
Those in contact with the said personnel were advised to self-quarantine.
Ticket sellers from the following stations were working the shifts below:
– North Avenue station from 1:00PM to 11:00PM and 4:30PM to 2:30AM
– Quezon Avenue from 1:00PM to 11:00PM.
– GMA-Kamuning station 4:30PM to 2:30AM
– Cubao station were deployed from 1:00PM to 11:00PM and 4:30PM to 2:30AM.
The operations of the MRT-3 line is suspended until July 11 to give way to thorough disinfection and swab test of all personnel.
