Calauan, Laguna SK to offer free quarantine tutorial for kids amid new normal

CALAUAN, Laguna – With the school reopening schedule still under debate due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Imok will offer free tutorial and homeschooling program for children every Sunday starting June 7.

The project aims to keep children mentally active while staying at home under community quarantine.
The program is going to be divided into two projects.
The first will be “Project Bulilit” which covers English, Math, Science, and Filipino for children in pre-elementary to Grade 3.
“Project Techy”, on the other hand, will be teaching information, communication, and technology for children in Grades 4 to 6.
The tutorial program will use a combination of homeschooling, modular, and distance learning techniques.
As of May 25, Calauan has recorded eight confirmed cases of COVID-19, with six recoveries and two mortalities.
