arrest arrested INQUIRER image SAN PEDRO CITY—One was killed while 18 other suspects were arrested in a 24-hour police anti-drug operation in Cavite province. In Mendez town, suspect Erickson Sarmiento was killed after putting up a fight with members of the arresting policemen from the Drug Enforcement Unit around 1 a.m. Thursday in Barangay (village) Bucal. Cavite police director Sr. Supt. William Segun said the police recovered a sachet of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) from Sarmiento during the buy bust operation. He said Sarmiento faced separate drug charges in March and September 2016.
