Typhoon-hit Legazpi airport resumes operations

Published December 4, 2019 9:14am

Typhoon-hit Legazpi City Domestic Airport in Albay province resumed operations on Wednesday morning, according to Mao dela Cruz's report on Dobol B sa News TV.

Citing the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), the report said the airport will now accommodate flights from Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific.

The airport will use parts of the passenger terminal building that were not damaged by Typhoon Tisoy as temporary arrival and pre-departure areas.

It will also deploy personnel to assist passengers to reach their assigned check-in and pre-departure areas.

Albay was among the badly-hit areas by Typhoon Tisoy when it made landfall in Sorsogon late Monday night, as it experienced around six hours of continuous rains and strong winds. —KBK, GMA News
