Tisoy to bring scattered rains to Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon

Published December 4, 2019 5:16am Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to Tisoy and the northeast monsoon, PAGASA reported early Wednesday morning.

Residents in these areas are advised to be vigilant as flash floods or landslides may occur  due to moderate to heavy rains.

As of 3 a.m. on Wednesday, the center of Severe Tropical Storm Tisoy was estimated at 255 kilometers west of Ambulong, Batangas with maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 125 kph.

Tisoy is moving West Northwest at 20 kph.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will also be affecting Luzon on Wednesday.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms and flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The forecast wind speed for Luzon is strong and moving in the northeast direction while coastal waters will remain rough.

In the Visayas and Mindanao, the forecast wind speed is moderate to strong and moving in the southwest to southeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough. — BAP, GMA News
