'Henry is home': Remains of Filipino beaten to death in Slovakia arrive in PH

MANILA - The body of Filipino Henry John Acorda, who died protecting a friend in Slovakia, has arrived in Manila on Tuesday morning. A Slovak government flying service Airbus A319 carrying the body of the 36-year-old Pinoy arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport past 10:00 a.m.

A Slovak government flying service Airbus A319 carrying the body of the 36-year-old Pinoy arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport past 10:00 a.m.

 

Ambassador to Vienna Ma. Cleofe Natividad and a representative from the Slovak Ministry of Interior accompanied Acorda's family during the trip back home.

Family and friends, wearing white shirts bearing the words "Justice For Henry," welcomed the remains of the Filipino. Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano was also present.
