UE to resume operations on April 5 after fire hit its Manila campus

Published April 4, 2016 3:56pm Following the fire that struck University of the East (UE) Manila last Saturday, the school administration announced it will resume its operations on Tuesday, April 5.

In an official statement, the UE said enrollment for summer classes and senior high school are set on April 5.

Summer classes will commence on April 11.

Fire blazed UE Recto campus at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

It broke out on the second floor of the university’s College of Arts and Sciences Building.

The College Engineering Building was also razed by the blaze.

The fire reached fifth alarm before it was declared under control at past 11 a.m.

The incident caused an estimated P22 million worth of damage.

UE expressed their gratitude to the Bureau of Fire Protection for their efforts in putting out the fire in two of its buildings.
