Monday, November 09, 2015 By Bong Garcia TWO houses were razed to the ground in a fire incident allegedly sparked by children playing matches in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Monday.

Chief Inspector Rogelio Alabata, Zamboanga Peninsula Police Office (PRO) information officer, said the incident took place around 9:45 a.m. Sunday in the village of Don Andres, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Alabata said the fire, which started at the house of Rodrigo Dayot, 47, also engulfed the house of Justo Saraga, 62.

Dayot’s wife, Gretel, 47, told the fire investigator that she was doing laundry when informed that her house was burning.

It was learned that two children, who are relatives of Dayot, were allegedly seen playing matches before the fire broke out.

He said the estimated damaged to properties was placed at P80,000.
