4 people hurt in Marawi City roadside explosion

December 15, 2016 7:49am Four people were hurt, one critically, in a roadside blast in Marawi City late Wednesday afternoon.

An initial investigation showed that the 5 p.m. blast occurred in the city's Barangay Rorogagus.

Col. Joselito Pastrana, commander of the 65th Infantry Battalion, said that the victim who was critically wounded was a tricycle driver.

The names of the four victims were not immediately available as of this posting.

Police personnel conducting post-blast investigation said that the blast site was near Barangay Matampay, also in Marawin City, where an explosion last November 29 hit a convoy of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) securing Radio-TV Malacañang crew members.
