Magnitude-5.0 quake hits Davao Oriental

Published November 30, 2017 11:59am An earthquake with magnitude 5 jolted Davao Oriental on Thursday morning. The earthquake, which occurred at 9:16 a.m., was tectonic in origin, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said in a bulletin.

The epicenter was located 07.25°N, 126.98°E or 046 km S 79° E of Caraga (Davao Oriental).

Intensity III was felt in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur.

PHIVOLCS said aftershocks are expected.

It added that no damage is expected from the  magnitude-5.0 earthquake. —KG, GMA News
